General

What is GPT-SELF Recovery?
A Telegram bot for working the 12 steps. All the tools of the program are gathered in one place: steps, questions, feelings, gratitude, literature, profile, history and progress.
Does it replace a sponsor, a group or therapy?
No. It's a tool for structure and for recording the process. It helps you hold the thread between meetings and conversations.
Who is it for?
For people working the 12 steps who want to do it regularly — in small pieces, inside ordinary life, with history and progress.
Do I need to install a separate app?
No. It's a Telegram bot.
Can I use it on phone and computer?
Yes. Anywhere Telegram works.

Step work

Are all the steps and all the questions inside?
Yes. The work is built as “question → answer → saved in history”.
Can I pick a step and continue from where I stopped?
Yes. You can pick a step and continue the questions from your current point.
Can I work in small pieces, when I only have 3–10 minutes?
Yes. That's one of the main ideas of the “pocket” format.
Can I see my past answers to a specific question?
Yes. In “My progress” you can see how you answered a question earlier.
Can I rewrite or extend an answer?
Yes. If you realise you wrote the wrong thing, you can rewrite or add to it so your history reflects the real process.
Is there help if I don't understand a question on a step?
Yes. There's an “I don't understand the question” button — the system explains what the question is really about and gives different ways to look at it.
Is there help if I want examples?
Yes. There's a “Show examples” button — the system offers real-life examples and directions so it becomes clearer what to write.

10th step / daily inventory

Is there 10th-step work?
Yes. There's a dedicated self-review section, so you can come back to the line of your process regularly and record the dynamics.
Why the 10th step inside a bot?
So you don't have to hold everything in your head: fact → reaction → what to do next — and so it stays in your history.

Feelings and states

Is there a dedicated feelings section?
Yes. You can pick a state quickly right inside the bot.
Why is that helpful?
You don't need to carry a feelings list or an emotions table — it's already at hand inside the bot.
Can I use feelings together with step work?
Yes. You can look at your state and add it to your answer on a step.

Gratitude

Can I write gratitudes every day?
Yes. Even several times a day.
Is the gratitude history saved?
Yes. There's a “Gratitude history” with entries and dates.
Why is it in the program?
It's a simple daily anchor and a way to return to stability.

Literature

Is there program literature inside?
Yes. You can read it right on your phone when you have a spare minute.
Why does that matter?
Because you don't have to carry a separate book — everything is in one place.

Profile and “about me”

Is there a “My profile”?
Yes. It holds the information about you that you can view and edit.
Is there a “Tell about yourself” block?
Yes. There's a format with questions and free-form story.
Why is that needed?
So the system can better understand the context of your life — people, family, work or study, sources of support — and stay closer to your real situation.

History, progress and slices

What is “My progress”?
It's where you can see how much you've done: by step, by question, by date.
Can I see how many questions I've covered in a step?
Yes. Progress on a step is shown as “done out of total”.
Can I see activity over time?
Yes. 7- and 30-day slices are planned into the format.

Memory, patterns and slices

Does the system just store things or does it actually build a picture?
The system builds an inner map: it stores records, identifies themes and emotions, and comes back to important topics.
What exactly does it track?
Repetitions (themes, emotions), dynamics of states, and context (step, day, mode).
Can I see what's repeating?
Yes. Repeating themes and patterns are one of the core ideas of the system.
Can I get a 7- or 30-day slice?
Yes. The slice format includes: activity, progress, frequency of emotions, SOS, gratitude, repeating themes and changes over the period.
What kinds of questions can I ask about a slice?
For example: “How have I changed in 30 days?” or “Where do I close my eyes, where are my growth points?”.
What does “core” mean in the Recovery context?
It's an aggregated picture: values, emotions, patterns, roles — what becomes visible from your history of steps, feelings and gratitudes.

SOS

Is there an SOS button?
Yes. It's a fast mode when things get hard — to stabilise and come back to the line.
Why is it there?
When it's storming, what matters is a point of support and the next small step — not a long piece of work.

Managing records

Can I delete records?
Yes. Records can be deleted — individual entries or the whole account.
Can I export data?
Yes. Data control — export, deletion, record management — is built in as part of the product.

Privacy

Is this public? Is there a feed or likes?
No. It's a private space. No stage, no likes.
Who sees my records?
Only you. And only you decide what to share.

Under the hood

How does the system know where to store what I write?
It sorts information by blocks and sub-blocks (steps, craving, states, morning, night, etc.) and keeps the dynamics.
Why do the answers get more personal over time?
Because the system gathers context: who you are, your current step, frames, “about me”, emotional rhythm — and pulls that in with each response.

Still have questions?

The easiest way to understand is to open the bot and try one section. It's free.
